Early on in my career, I realised that most individuals, coaches, and trainers were just following trends, following out of date, hand me down, ideas, principles, and techniques. Even though our scientific knowledge of the human body, its movement patterns and its compensatory abilities had advanced immeasurably, this science was simply not getting through to the new exercising generation. I was continually seeing so much that was wrong, so much that needed to change, and I knew I had the answers.

As a Sport Scientist I could see things differently, I knew that so many individuals were exercising completely incorrectly for their body, their skeleton, their muscles, and joints. I knew why people’s knees were hurting when they went jogging, I knew why so many individuals had foot and ankle pain after sprinting, jumping, plyometrics or various high intensity movements. I also knew why so many exercisers suffered lower back pain after almost any movements or exercises. I knew why so many individuals couldn’t squat, lunge of perform deadlifts correctly. I knew why everybody’s neck and shoulders were hurting, and tightening up after pull-ups, press- ups, or dips.

I, therefore, have felt an enormous weight of responsibility, almost a sense of duty to pass on my knowledge and experience, so that YOU can change your approach, and your perspective on how you should exercise. In essence it really is time to re-set, forget everything we have all been taught, and re-start our education in exercise. It’s time to set the record straight. I have amassed over 100,000 professional one-to-one personal training sessions in nearly 40 years and every second of every one of those sessions has contributed in some way to my methods.
